Great Gifts for Babies 0-12 Months

Shopping for babies can be difficult, especially coming up with gifts that both parents and babies will both enjoy.

Gifts for Babies - under $25

Manhattan Toy Company - Winkel Rattle

This was one of our daughters very first toys and it was a favorite for her entire first year! Before babies have the ability to grasp things, they can still get their little fists caught into these loops and the excitement they get from having it on their hand and moving it around is hilarious. It’s a great low cost gift and you really can’t go wrong!

Fisher Price Smart Stages Puppy

This Smart Stages Puppy from Fisher price is a classic and adored by every child I know who has had one. It sings fun songs, teaches words, and is adorably soft and cuddly. It has 3 different levels that advance as the baby gets older. Ours has joined us on many trips and countless car rides and has always been a great companion. You can’t go wrong with this one! Pictured is the “Sis” version but there is another option which is more generic and is offered in blue.

Crinkle Books

There is something about the crinkle sound that babies just LOVE. We had several items that contained the crinkle material (whoever invented that is a genius) but the most convenient and utilized crinkle accessory was the crinkle books. They easily attached to the stroller or car seat (so they didn’t get tossed overboard) and provided our daughter endless entertainment. The book pictured is one was personally owned and loved but there’s TONS of options available on Amazon.

Loulou Lollipop - Silicone Bibs

Loulou Lollipop makes super cute baby products from bibs to pajamas to bath towels and a million other great things! Their silicone bibs are what first drew me in. They are super easy to clean. come in a boat load of adorable patterns, and are super high quality. This is a practical yet amazing gift, especially for any baby nearing the stage of starting solids.

Melissa & Doug Pull and Go Plush Cars

We are huge fans of Melissa and Doug Toys in our house. This set of 4 cars is a super cute gift for any baby. These cars are soft (perfect for a baby) and they’re so exciting for babies to watch as you pull them back and let them go speeding across the floor. Get excited for all the baby giggles because the lucky baby your gifting these to will be dishing them out once they see these!

Gifts for Babies - under $50

Fat Brain Toys - Diaper Bag Essentials

We absolutely LOVE Fat Brain Toys and these diaper bag essentials toys for babies are perfect for keeping baby distracted in the car, out at restaurants, waiting in doctors offices, and everything in between! Our daughter always engaged a lot with her Fat Brain Toys’ (especially the Dimpl). This would be a perfect gift for any baby 0-12 months.

ezpz First Foods Set

Baby will be enjoying their first foods this year and this set of utensils, plate and cup are designed just for their developmental stage and learning how to engage in mealtime with real food! It’s a necessity the parents will appreciate and a tool that baby will use daily for months to come! Ours went EVERYWHERE with us.

Melissa and Doug Peg Puzzles (6 pack)

As I mentioned, we love Melissa and Doug Toys and this set of puzzles has been one of our favorites for over 2 years now. Our daughter received these puzzles on her first Christmas (around 5 months old) and I believe they were hugely impactful in learning words, letters and numbers. To this day she pulls out the alphabet puzzle almost daily and names all of her letters and practices putting them in order. There are smaller packs of puzzles also available, if you’re looking to keep this gift under $25.

Little Sleepies - Zippies

My absolute favorite brand of pajamas for kids and adults of ANY AGE (I own a few myself) are Little Sleepies. I literally buy them for every new baby out there! They are so soft and their Zippies for babies are so incredibly designed! The hands and feet have a fold over feature allowing you to cover or expose babies hands and feet and they also fit for far beyond their specified age range. My daughter literally wore her 0-3 month Zippies until she was nearly 12 months. The patterns are adorable, the fabric is heavenly, and everyone who has received them just LOVES them. You can’t go wrong.

My First Learning Library

I’m huge on getting babies engaged and interested in books from an early age. They’re such an incredible tool for learning. This set of books is a perfect addition to any babies library, introducing them to everything from colors to foods, animals, shapes and so much more! Baby will love it and mom and/or dad will appreciated it even more!

Fat Brain InnyBin

This one is one of my absolute FAVORITES! The InnyBin contains 5 different shapes, easy for baby to hold and each side of the cube (bin) is constructed of either straight elastic ropes or crossed ropes (more difficult) to challenge baby to push and pull the shapes in and out. This was another toy that lasted ages in our play area and did wonders to help with our daughters fine motor skills.

Silicone Beach Toys

This set of silicone beach toys is a perfect set for babies first trip to the beach. The silicone makes the toys soft and safe for little hands (and faces). The quality is great and you don’t need to worry about cracking plastic and sharp corners. We have this set and continue to use it to this day. It’s compact and less clunky than the bag of plastic toys and it looks good too!

Gifts for Babies - under $100

Lovevery Block Set

Lovevery is one of my favorite brands for kids toys. Not only are they incredible Montessori learning toys but they are also incredibly aesthetically pleasing the high quality making them less of an eye sore around the house. This Block Set is one of our favorite non-Play Kit toys and will continue to be played with for years. The blocks fit perfectly into the wooden container, with shapes along the top for shape a shape sorting activity as well as poles and wheels which go through the box and turn it into a pull along box. This is a great gift if you’re looking to spend a little more on the precious little one.

Little Unicorn Picnic Blanket

This picnic blanket from Little Unicorn was a favorite amongst my Mommy & Me group. Many of our meetings were held at parks and a blanket was necessary. We all quickly learned that our standard blankets weren’t doing the trick. The grass was often wet and would soak through the blanket leaving us and baby wet. Rookie move. Many of us ended up purchasing this Picnic blanket because it has great size options (most common was the largest size), it is waterproof, it’s folds up easily and compactly making it simple to carry over the shoulder or in the stroller, and it offers multiple patterns for your personal style. The quality is great and will be used for years to come.
